Dr. Farbood's expertise includes designing and developing innovative screening procedures to discover microorganisms with novel properties of commercial value for production of natural and/or optically active flavor and fragrance compounds. He has been involved from shake-flask up to production scale and is experienced in coordinating research and establishing fermentation research laboratories and pilot plants with perfumers, flavorists, and production facilities.
